Jack's Book

As you may know Jack held a contest for a copy of his book

I was so excited to hear that I had won a copy, of course I had to share with Blair too

his week I found the book in the mailbox, hurray!

Koda has decided that he wants to be just like Jack starting with the cover picture!

Sophie even has a little crush on Jack now

Overall we loved Jack's book, I shared it with my family and they laughed at all his crazy antics.

Wordy Wednesday

I know that today is supposed to be wordless but I have exciting news to share!

This weekend was a hockey weekend and boy was it newsworthy

My brother and his hockey team won All Ontario Champions for their age level and division

The game itself was very fast with lots of goals for his team

After the game and lots of pictures the boys were able to ride around town in a fire truck

It was the icing on the cake for them followed by an afterparty with the entire team and families

I wanted to share this already edited picture which I think is very cute

It was this time last year that my roommates and I began to foster Bullit. He found a great home a week later. I would like to thank him for showing us how rewarding fostering can be!

Wordless Wednesday

COUSINS!

We were able to play with Cousin Bo again this week! The boys had a great time running and wrestling, we even took them for a quick run with the four wheeler. By the end of our playdate both Koda and Bo were too tired to even move and they just slept near one another.

Sophie Update: Sophie is doing really well although she keeps trying to lick her stitches so she has had her cone on almost all the time. I do like to give her a break and make sure that she is always being watched. She likes to rub and scratch her body all over the rug and ends up with the craziest hair afterwards.

Conehead

Miss Sophie FINALLY made it to the vet to be spayed.

Of course she has now become a cone head yes just like the movie

Koda and I dropped her off on Monday morning, I wasn't told that she was going to be spending the night. I wasn't very impressed by the lack of information and felt bad that I didn't bring anything for her. I would have appreciated knowing and being able to bring her regular food, and her blanket.

I'm sure that she felt abandoned overnight but she was very happy to see us all the next day. She doesn't seem to be feeling sore although wearing the cone most of the time really bugs her. She has also been waking me up at night by banging the cone against my face and wanting me to rub her. It means I have a serious lack of sleep this week but at least she feels better.

Lucky for her big brother Koda has been through it already and knows just how to help her out!

They have experienced a flood and have lost their house along with everything in it.

All the people were able to get out safe and many of their pets however they did lose some.

Now they are having more problems as they struggle to find a place for themselves to live.

They are also having problems finding places for their animals until they are able to get settled again.

If you can help please contact them, they are in need of some good luck.

Dress Up

Koda actually puts up with alot living with a bunch of kids. He is quite nice about them laying on him, brushing his hair, laying on him, and dressing him up. In fact he has been included in games of dress up lots of times from hair clips all over him, and shirts and shorts along with being dragged all over in their imaginary games. I think he just enjoys the attention since he is a huge attention hog, he can never get enough. But more on that in another post!

His latest dress up adventure was the mullet wig. He gamely left it on and walked around the house showing off his new hair style!
