Happy Easter

I hope that everyone had a great easter and that the easter bunny made it around to you all.

Sophie and Koda were great around all of the eggs and Sophie even figured out what the easter bunny was up to and tried to help by hiding bones for herself.

Step One: Hide bone in backpack

Step Two: Collect bone from hiding spot really fast

The easter bunny brought lots of chocolate, I'm really not sure how we will be able to eat it all!

Elections

Here in Canada we are about to have an election, sadly our elections are not as publicised as the American ones. I think that politicians might have to be a little more honest in their campaigns if there was more media focus.

As a young voter I find that many politicians do not reach out to people my age. There are many campaigns to get young voters to vote and to feel like they can make a difference. Yet the question is not whether we vote or not but do we have something to vote for.

Personally I want a leader who will help to create more jobs, support families, support education, and REVERSE ONTARIO'S PITBULL BAN. Of course finding a leader who believes in all of these things and follows through is close to impossible. I of course will not be voting liberal since it is their party which supports and created the BSL. Therefore I must pick between conservative and ndp. I wonder which will try to get my vote?

Back in the Saddle

Yesterday was a very exciting day for me as I got back in the saddle...actually for the first time in three years. I haven't ridden since my parents sold our horses when I went away to university, I rode my favourite horse Momma for one last time. It felt great to get back up and moving although I'm a little rusty. Basically, I recently found a stable right near my house, well about 20 minutes away and contacted to ask if I could become a working student. I'm hoping to ride about every two weeks and then work it off by helping around the stables. Since this stables also runs a breeding program I'm excited to be helping out with all the little foals once spring fully rolls around. I'm also one of those people who doesn't mind cleaning out stalls either so this arrangement is perfect for me. I wasn't able to get any pictures of their horses though but I will be sure to include some in the coming months!

Almost another boring post

I have resigned myself to the fact that sadly my life just isn't as much fun as my cat's life is and that her blog has way more friends than mine. In fact I was almost going to run a post all about bone testing but lucky for you I had an exciting weekend doing Maple Syrup. Yes, up where I live it is that time again where we tap trees, hang buckets, collect sap, and then boil it into maple syrup. Koda had blast running around playing in the mud, chasing the four wheelers, and all my siblings enjoyed the farm animals near by. Sophie wasn't invited simply because there are so many dogs around that are not socialized and the four wheelers which drive awfully fast.

Here are some pictures;

New Collars!

I have been searching everywhere for some new collars for Sophie and Koda. I find that boy collars are so hard to find with cool prints on them. They seem to only come in red, blue or black yet the girl collars have all kinds of patterns. I didn't go for patterns this time, but nice bright solid spring colours.

I am still on the look out for nice printed ones. I have noticed that many people go to sirius republic for collars, I checked it out and may buy Koda one. I'm still looking for some nice ones for Sophie.
